Senior Web Designer – ( frontend website (December 2008 – February 2010)

eCommerce – hotel reservations. Site ranked 475 worldwide ( 1.5 million visitors per day.
As part of the front-end team of 5 designers and 8 developers (et al), my position entails identifying areas of improvement and/or potential user problems to give the customer the best possible experience and maximize revenue for the company.

    • Work within a Perl HTML::TEMPLATE environment
    • Concept design solutions and hand-code directly into the application templates, ensuring multiple browser support and to web standards
    • Multi variant testing of new features across the website

    • CVS checkout of code to front-end servers, ensuring the minimum amount of downtime

Freelance Designer (Feb 2002 – Feb 2003)

In addition to design-based projects, during 2002-2003 I lectured at Croydon College. Teaching BA (Hons) Photomedia to first year students and held Photography workshops and Technical Studies modules for other BA courses such as Fashion. Additionally I taught Multimedia applications (PhotoShop, DreamWeaver, etc) to BA students, across years 1-3 and all art based courses.

The New Media Works: Interactive Designer (June 2000 – Feb 2002)

Working within a small team environment meant I was able to gain invaluable experience in a variety of areas, including client facing, managing projects & project planning. Our workload consisted of Web, CD-ROM and video graphics.
